Little Ohana (Mo‘opuna) dancers in Bora Bora

These little Ohana (Mo‘opuna) dancers are the oldest daughters of one of my high school friends, painted on commission. The concept was to depict them in Bora Bora at approximately the same age, allowing time to stand still even as it moved rapidly onward... and it did, with life getting in the way, this painting took 4 years to complete. First I moved to a new residence 60 miles away, then I injured my back ending in major back surgery, and finally, my client moved across the country. I wish time would stand still sometimes!!
